I was with a lead pastor of a large church a few days ago. He’s an old friend who had recently become aware of the giving habits of his staff. This guy is a great leader who wants to take people on a journey. The conversation was primarily about how to get his team to amp up their generosity to the ministry.
His bottom line question is” how do I convince people in the congregation to be generous when we aren’t being generous ourselves.”
This was the question we talked about him asking:
What kind of ministry would be able to do if everyone gave the way you give?
That was a tough question I had to ask myself a few years back and proved to be a game changer for me.
What do you think? How do you build a culture of generosity with a church staff?

Good job, you nailed the question!
Our Church puts Tithing in the employment letter of all new hires as a requirement. We don’t want staff members who are robbers. Mal 3:8-12
Wow!
