Athens Church – Walmart to Worship Center
Athens Church purchased an existing Wal-Mart building which included approximately 600 parking spots. This Phase 1 building renovation and up-fit of 45,188 square feet includes a 1200 seat worship auditorium and video venue, a Connection Café, and office space that doubles as small group rooms.
The plan reflects Athen’s DNA as a North Point Strategic Church partner. Fun, interactive environments are key to the family oriented “Waumba Land” and “Upstreet” children’s space. The “Transit” Students ministry are served with their own lounge, café, and 150+ seat worship space. The 110,580 square foot building is master planned to accommodate 2000 seats and further expansion for children and youth.
Elevation Church- Charlotte NC Pastor Steven Furtick
Just a few years ago, I was attending the Catalyst Conference, sitting in the nose bleed section of the arena, dreaming of all that God had in store for Elevation Church. And to share the stage this year with spiritual heroes like Andy Stanley and Craig Groeschel, was truly an honor and a testament to God’s hand on our ministry. I continue to be amazed at the mighty ways God is using Elevation Church for His Glory.
God has mashed so many miracles into the last 2 years of our ministry that if He never did anything else, I could leave planet Earth saying: “I had a front row seat for a real live move of God”. We have seen thousands of people place their faith in Christ, thousands baptized and countless lives changed. And all of this has been accomplished in 3 portable locations.
As Elevation Church moves forward with our first permanent worship space, we have chosen to partner with Cogun as our Ministry Space/Building Partner. We are excited about the opportunity to blend Cogun’s experience and wisdom with our audacity and faith. This facility will be a critical element in our pursuit of seeing “people far from God filled with life in Christ”.

Grace Fellowship – Johnson City TN
In order to fulfill Grace Fellowship’s large group to small group children’s ministry strategy, Cogun constructed a new 2 story, 30,000 sq. ft. facility. The building houses the K – 5 programs on the first floor and features four breakout rooms, two 150 seat auditoriums and a secure check-in lobby. Children start their morning by going to their Large Group Environment: “Voyages” for Kindergarten – 2nd grade; “Ignition” for 3rd – 5th grade. These environments allow for an interactive learning experience through games, storytelling, singing, praising and worship to God.
The Cogun led design team, which consisted of the church’s youth and family life staff, an audio/video/lighting consultant, an architect, and a few key volunteers developed a plan for a 300 seat auditorium for the youth.
With over 1,600 people attending weekend services, Grace Fellowship was in desperate need of not only more worship space, but a more functional campus overall. Grace struggled with cramped hallways, worship space and a lack of connection environments.
After in-depth feasibility studies and master planning, Cogun completed three phases of construction on a 1,500 seat worship center with a Connections Atrium and Café.
Cogun also renovated the church’s previous worship space into the Kid’s Stuff auditorium where parents and children have the opportunity to worship together.
Cogun’s holistic approach to ministry expansion allows Grace to fulfill their mission, which is “building a community to reach a community”.
Rock Bridge – Dalton GA
With their intense desire to connect disconnected people back to Jesus, Rock Bridge Community Church is finding a creative way to facilitate their ministry needs. Cogun was able to help them with their needs by bringing all the players needed to the table for a comprehensive and unique solution.
